I've been awaiting an elevated state of consciousness that mirrors all this useless fiction I have stored inside this cerebellum, like the haunting words of Harlan Ellison and the elevated dementia of Philip K Dick

But as I wait and I toil with the struggles of everyday human existence, I can't help but feel the lines of code pulsing through myself
Because it's so hard to realize that I have never meant anything at all And I don't want you to forget it

Awaiting pink lights to envelope my entire world, my entire being, instead I wake up to this world defined by unexceptional-ism and filth, like why didn't anyone think that our future could be clean, serene

If reality is a lie then I want in on the scam, because I could not be further from who I am, dreaming of Tannhauser's Gate, and Deep Space Nine, and Alderaan, and all sorts of fucking bullshit

But it was all a lie
Every word of it. Every single book I read, every television program I inhaled, it was all just the desperation of a doomed species, imagining a future brighter then their own.
And I began to think to myself...
What if I could recreate reality in the image of all this useless fiction? But see, that was a fallacy, because fiction has to follow some degree of logic and reality has no such rules.
The upload was a lie. And don't you ever forget it.
